Tagu-Taguan Nasaan ang Buwan?

Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has been known to produce original and entertainaining children’s productions. For its 50th Theater Season, PETA stages its latest children’s production that will surely touch the hearts of both children and adults alike.

PETA takes audiences to a world where everything is possible with the use of a little imagination. From August 17 to September 3, “Tagu-Taguan Nasaan Ang Buwan?” will be staged at the PETA Theater Center. It is the story of the forgotten Saysay Lupalop, a world of stories that had limitless possibilities. With the curse of the evil Papaw Halimaw, it becomes Dilim-Dilim Land, an arid and hopeless place full of fear and restrictions. It is now up to Popoy, the young descendant of Lola Basyang, to save the world of stories and its characters with the use of his shining heart. Initially unaware of this, his Lola Luna helps him rediscover the forgotten world along with new found friends on his magical journey.

Will Popoy be able to conquer Papaw Halimaw and help everyone remember the stories?

The play is focuses on the importance of literature as well as reminds everyone remember our values and to connect with the people around us in today’s highly technological society.

PETA is celebrating their 50 th year anniversary this 2017 and what better way to do that than to revisit some of their notable characters from previous plays. PETA’s most avid fans will be happy to see familiar characters in the play such as Prinsesa Mina from “Ang Tiririt ng Ibong Adarna”, Pepe and Pepito from “Batang Rizal”, Ismail and Isabel from “Ismail at Isabel”, Ngo from “Ngo ang Dagang Patay”.

“Tagu-taguan Nasaan ang Buwan?” is written by J-mee Katanyag with direction by FEU’s Artistic Director Dudz Teraña, music by Jeff Hernandez, Costumes by Leeroy New, and stars Noel Comia Jr.
